Line dancing holidays
Line dancing is a fun and varied style, which requires several people dancing together to make it work. The idea is - as the name suggests - dancers stay in lines and keep to the same movements. Depending on the size of group, there may be one line or more. If there's more, there are usually parallel lines of dancers, all performing the same movements at the same time.
If this all sounds a bit tame to you, fear not - it's not as structured as it sounds. Dancers often break the rhythm by forming a circle, holding hands, joining together or swinging each other round. They will also weave in and out, exchange places, dance up to each other, and make momentary contact, such as clapping hands. The fun is in trying to keep to the formation of the dance, and to keep up with the others in the group. One of the biggest appeals about dancing is the social side - and line dancing has this in abundance.
If you've never tried it before, watch out - you'll be hooked in no time!
