Built predominantly from natural stone, the villas blend harmoniously into their natural surroundings, but the interiors - while paying homage to the traditional style of the island - are elegant, stylish and comfortable. Each villa has a spacious living-dining room with a well-equipped open plan kitchen fitted with all the necessary appliances. Out of the twelve villas, we offer 9, all of which have a master double room with en suite shower room, and two twin rooms (one of the villas only has one twin) sharing a further shower room between them. With their pine ceilings, exposed stone walls and smart ceramic floor tiles, the interiors are attractive and carefully chosen furnishings - from beautiful carved wooden sofas to stylish wrought-iron dining chairs - add to the elegant feel of these excellent villas. The attractive island capital Zante Town is just ten kilometres away, food can be ordered from the owners' restaurant in Zante Town and delivered so that guests can enjoy the delights of the food at a communal seating area. Alternatively, the nearest shops and restaurants - as well as sandy beaches - can be found just four kilometres away in Alikes.

French doors lead from the living area of each villa onto a lovely, partially shaded terrace for al fresco dining. Each villa's swimming pool is a good size, and thanks to the mature vegetation of the grounds - with its palm, pine and cypress trees and an assortment of flowering shrubs - each enjoys a good degree of privacy. Given the tranquillity of the setting and the lush beauty of the grounds and the surrounding countryside, guests at Aresti Villas will probably choose to spend most of their time simply enjoying the luxury of their own pool, but the hire car that is included in the cost of your holiday means that all of Zante can easily be explored from the villas' convenient location close to the centre of the island.

Unlike the northern Ionian Islands, where a good selection of villas with private pools has become available in recent years, Zante has a marked lack of such properties. The reason for this is the fact that the island is blessed with the finest sandy beaches in the archipelago, and most local people cannot imagine that anyone would prefer to swim in a pool, when there is such a splendid range of beaches to choose from. Fortunately for those who wish to have access to soft, sandy beaches but who also value the privacy and indulgence that only a villa with its own pool can offer, the Aresti Villas are a notable exception.
