Villa Minoas

This is why Spiros Kosmas and his wife Vasso have designed this modern villa to appreciate them from every angle. Sitting to the side of the terracotta and gold-coloured house is the pool. Sunk into a spacious sun terrace, it's tiled with mosaics and looks out over the beautiful scenery. You'll also find elegant wood-slatted sun loungers to stretch out on, as well as an al fresco dining table and built-in barbeque.
Step inside the Minoas and you're greeted by a cool oasis. Delightfully traditional in style, but with all the comforts and mod cons of home, it's beautifully designed. Throughout the house, the walls have been lovingly hand-pained by Vasso, who's a well-known artist on the island, with ancient scenes from the Minoan period. Even the columns of the portico are based on the reconstruction at the Minoan Palace at Knossos. And along with the typically Greek furnishings, it gives the villa an historical, romantic ambience. You'll find a spacious open-plan living space with a lounge and dining area and a fully-equipped kitchen. There are also two restful bedrooms, a twin and a double, both of which are en suite. And whichever room you stand in here, the window always looks out over the epic landscape.
