This small set of apartments couples comfy accommodation with a great atmosphere. Housed in a three-storey, whitewashed building with traditional terracotta roof tiles, it sits among green hills and looks down across the streets of Troulos. And under ten minutes' walk away is the sandy stretch of Troulos beach.

Inside, the studios are fuss-free, simple affairs that have been nicely kitted out. Think pine furniture, tiled floors and whitewashed walls. Plus, they come complete with a kitchen, TV and a balcony.

The pool's a straightforward, rectangular affair set into a tiled sun terrace. And it's framed by sunloungers and big white canvas parasols. There's a children's pool and play area, too.

At one end you'll find a taverna and a sports bar. Open all day, the taverna serves traditional home-cooked Greek dishes as well as favourites like full English breakfasts. And every Saturday they put on a Greek night with barbecue, complete with Greek dancers. Meanwhile the sports bar pulls in a crowd with its big screen TVs. It's one of the best in Troulos and is decked out in football shirts and sports memorabilia. If you'd rather do your own thing there's a supermarket five minutes' walk away where you can stock up on essentials.
