Just to the south of Aghios Joannis, and close enough to stroll to the fine sands of Papa Nero beach, Damouhari is reached via a narrow road along the coast and a newer one from inland Mouressi. If you fancy getting that away-from-it-all feeling, without cutting yourself off - this is the place for you. Its villas and houses are sprinkled here and there between the olive trees. And there's not much else here to speak off, you're truly far from the madding crowds. Food-wise, check out the trio of tavernas on the seafront. With fresh fish dishes and traditional Greek fare, you can enjoy a hearty meal without a hefty price tag. A little harbour and a big pebble beach form the shoreline. Must-see sights include a Venetian castle - or rather the overgrown remains of one. And the majestic Pelion scenery – it's best seen on foot, so pack your hiking boots and don't forget your camera.
