Villa Agathi

An introduction to Villa Agathi

Tucked in among the olive groves and 250m from the road to Loggos, the villa is secluded and private, making it ideal for couples. The stonework continues to the interior of the property, which is well-equipped with modern facilities but retains its original charm, with tiled floors and wooden-beamed ceilings. The furnishings are contemporary and comfortable with a traditional touch.

The owner of Villa Agathi has lovingly renovated this stone cottage to its former glory. The traditional stonework has been restored in harmony with the surrounding stone villas and cottages of Kaggatika, the small hamlet in which it is located. To the front of the villa is a private pool with uninterrupted views over the Ionian Sea and the surrounding olive groves. Perched on one of the two terraced areas are the heavy table and chairs where guests can enjoy home cooking from the barbecue.

The village of Loggos is just a short drive away, where the main square is lined with tavernas full of both locals and visitors. Loggos is the smallest of the three main villages on Paxos. Here pastel-shaded buildings are huddled gracefully round the enchanting port and there is a perfect balance between the facilities and the feeling of blissful remoteness.

A short stroll through the olive trees from Loggos, you will come across a couple of pretty pebble beaches with crystal clear waters. Thanks to the sun bleached white pebbles, the sea at the beaches of nearby Glyfada, Levrechio and Marmari seems to sparkle and glimmer as if the seabed is covered in diamonds and of course pebble beaches are excellent for snorkelling.
