Guide to Loggos

"Pastel-coloured houses leaning against each other, roads squeezing their way between restaurants, a cramped square, and a winding waterfront makes Loggos a unique port to visit."

Loggos is the most attractive of the villages on the island – a veritable picture postcard spot. Legend has it that Poseidon created Paxos with a blow of his trident (still the island's emblem) as a love-nest for himself and his mistress. Surely he would have chosen this intimate fishing village for a few days stay - and there is still a statue of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess, standing on the ruins of an old soap factory in the town.
The nearest beach is at Levrechio – a white-stone cove, with another beach further south at Kipos. Loggos is on the main bus route so it is easy to visit the rest of the island from here. Boat trips are also available – visit the Blue Caves for a truly memorable experience.
In the evening, enjoy an iced frappe on the quayside, or visit one of the tavernas for a fruit or alcoholic cocktail - for a special treat try the fresh melon and vodka mega-cocktail. Loggos will then seem even more beautiful.
