Set amongst 20 acres of lush gardens, Beaches Varadero overlooks a beautiful section of Varadero's white sandy beach. This Beaches resort is targeted at families with older teenagers, singles, groups and couples alike. The comfortable junior suites have bright and modern furnishings, while the public areas have a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere that will certainly put you in the holiday mood. While there is a comprehensive range of daytime activities and sports to keep you entertained, you could simply retire to the beach and relax under a thatched umbrella with a Cuba Libre in one hand and a good book in the other. There are four restaurants to choose from: the main buffet restaurant and three speciality a la carte choices. Evenings can be spent watching the talented entertainment team performing one of their shows followed by the lively disco, or you could opt for a quiet spot and chill out in the piano bar with your favourite cocktail. The hotel had a 4 star rating, 2 would have been more appropriate.
The bar service was poor with waiters often rude. If you did not tip you had little chance of service.
Food in restaurant very poor, though service was better than the bars.
